Well Heike Amy and I were blown away by this.  Not only do we ADORE your layout, but you have inspired us to hold the competition to invite scrappers forward us layouts.  Thank you so much for thinking of us.

Events Planned !!

Hey this is what you have all been waiting for right...... So here goes.... the Pink Locker Project Events that will be taking place over the next 6 months.

Mega Raffle / Celebrated Scrapper Prize

Donate online to Women for Women International and you could be in the running for lots of fantastic prizes.  The Pink Locker Project has invited well known and gifted scrappers both Australian and Overseas to participate in this event.  The winners of this will have a photo scrapped and signed by one of these talented ladies and forwarded to them.  We have also been in touch with other sponsors and heeps of products to give away as prizes.  The Pink Locker Project welcomes any donations - either artistic or products to add to our list.

We are planning to draw this prize on ? December 2006.

National Crop Day

One of our goals is to simultaneously hold a crop in each state of Australia. Each event will be run by a PLP representative from that State, and will be overseen by Amy and Steph.  It is anticipated that this event will be held on 17 March 2007.

Proposed Book

We have invited Artists to contribute towards the  publication of a book.  This book will be cutting edge, and will revolve around the subject of Womenhood.  So please keep your fingers and toes crossed for us.
We are working really hard at getting publisher participation and if all goes well part monies raised from the book will go to Women to Woman International.

Layout Competition

We are going to invite scrappers from all over the place, to submit a layout or layouts to be included in the Pink Locker Project Book. More details coming soon.

On-Line Classes

The Pink Locker Project Artists will be holding online classes over the term of the project.  We are currently arranging online shops from all over Australia to participate.  This will be an exciting event - we would love you all to jump onboard.

Gala Dinner

As a celebration of the completion of the Pink Locker Project 2006/07, we have planned to hold a Gala Dinner in Sydney, Australia.  This Gala Dinner will be used as a way of uniting Organisers, Sponsors, Contributers and Scrapbookers to say thank you and to celebrate all that PLP has achieved.  The book will be launched on this night and all proceeds from the Gala Dinner will be forwarded to Women to Women International.

So..... are you exhausted.....because we are and there is still so much to do.

We really need your support with this.  We can't do this alone.

Job:  Pink Locker Project National Crop Day Organizer

Hey gorgeous gals, do you possess ridiculously talented skills at organising and seeing projects through.  Then the Pink Locker Project needs you!!!

We are looking for a bunch of talented women to volunteer organising the National Crop Day in each of their respective states.

A full checklist of the days events will be forwarded to you, and your job will be to organise, delegate and see the project through till the end of the day.

We are especially appealing to women in ACT, NT & TAS.  We would love all the states to be represented on this day.

This project is a huge undertaking, never done in Australia before, so be part of Scrapping History and help raise money for the Amazing Women of war torn Africa.

Job:  Pink Locker Project National Crop Day Helpers

Want to be involved but don’t really want to take responsibility for organising the day?  Become a Pink Locker Project National Crop Day Helper.

All you will have to do is be there on the day, and help the Organizer make sure the day’s proceedings run smooth.  Whether it be serving the food, taking money for a raffle, or just walking around talking to the scrappers -  there is so much to do during the day.

You are integral to the Pink Locker Project success in helping to raise money for Women to Women International and at the end of the day, you will know that you contributed to make a difference.

Welcome to the Pink Locker Project.

So who are we - we are just two normal gals wanting to make a difference.  Two gals who are going to put their butts into action and try to raise obscene amount of money for the Women of Africa.

We have a vision that as ordinary women we can achieve extraordinary things.

Help us to make the future brighter for thousands of women.

Women for Women International provides women survivors of war and conflict with the tools and resources they need to rebuild their lives, families and communities.  Through rights awareness and leadership education, and their vocational and technical skills trainings, women gain the knowledge and tangible skills they need to become active participants in their societies.

The organisation begins by working with women who may have lost everything in conflict and often have nowhere else to turn. Through your collective support we have a vision to launch women on a journey from victim to survivor to active citizen. By helping these women we constantly strive for greater social, economic and political participation in their communities.

Thousands of women around the world have experienced war and violence in ways that you and I cannot even imagine. And while our lives seem worlds apart, we have so much in common.

As each woman engages in a multi-phase process of recovery and rehabilitation, she opens a window of opportunity presented by the end of conflict to help improve the rights, freedoms and status of women in her country.

Like us, these women want to send their children to school. They want to make sure that their families have enough to eat, and are safe from harm. Like us, they want to feel respected and valued. What separates us is that they have survived the horrors of war and violence. Women for Women International – with the support of friends like you – can give these women the opportunity and hope to start over.
